Theme: The spirit of conformity. Corporate
responsibility
An
increasing number of employers, executives and business owners are realizing
how important a corporate spirit is to productive work. Corporate culture
refers to the principles and rules of conduct adopted in a particular firm, its
goals and ideals. The corporate spirit is something different. This is an intangible,
psychological mood, the attitude of the team to the management and their
company.
In
general, the corporate spirit is similar to the team spirit that is familiar to
everyone who has ever become a part of a team - from school to sporting events.
But if the team spirit reflects the mood of people from a small group, then the
corporate spirit is the mood, aspirations of the entire team of the enterprise.
The
corporate spirit is considered high if employees are proud of their company,
support management decisions, work well for the good of the company, and are
ready to complete tasks even outside of working hours.
Corporate
spirit is important not only for large enterprises and international
corporations. He is in any team, even in small firms. At the same time, the
corporate spirit is important for all business entities, regardless of the
number of employees in the staff.
Modern
HR managers and even economists believe that the main wealth of any business,
its essence and the main tool is not money, not equipment or real estate, not a
brand, but employees. It is the collective that acts as the brain, engine, and
face of the enterprise.
Therefore, the success, team coordination, knowledge and experience of employees are very important for a successful business. The corporate spirit helps to assess how effective the relations of employees are, how friendly they are, whether there is a team in the company.
Methods for the development and
enhancement of corporate spirit
Today
there are many methods and recommendations dedicated to strengthening and
developing the corporate spirit of enterprises.
First
of all, it is necessary to establish such a relationship when both the firm can
rely on the employees, and they themselves - on the firm.
In
addition, regulations on bonuses and labor discipline help to unite the team
and raise the corporate spirit.
Conclusion
High
corporate spirit is a very important indicator. It affects the relationship
between personnel and management, and the relationship in the team, and the indicators
of development and work of the enterprise. It is the managers, the owners, who
must take responsibility for the mood of the employees, for the team to be
proud of the company and trust its administration.
Corporate responsibility
(CR)
is about the impact an organisation makes on society, the environment and the
economy. Having an effective CR programme contributes positively to all
stakeholders as well as adding value for the organisation itself, and ensures
it operates in a sustainable way.
Corporate responsibility
(CR),
also known as corporate social responsibility (CSR) or business sustainability,
is about the ethics which drive an organisation’s activities and how it
operates so that it’s viable over the long term.
Areas of corporate
responsibility
CR
initiatives usually fall into four main areas:
·
Workplace
·
Market place
·
Environment
·
Community
Why does corporate
responsibility matter?
CR
matters because wider societal issues matter to people. In ‘doing the right
thing’ by their stakeholders and sharing the same values, organisations will
themselves see benefits from brand enhancement and reputation, to building
employee engagement. It therefore makes good business sense to operate
sustainably.
